How to edit photos and videos on the cloud on the go

Last week, I had been to Mysore and Ooty with friends to spend my Christmas holidays, and had a great time. To capture those joyful moments, I had carried my digital camera and my beloved Samsung NC20 with me. I stored all my photos and videos on my netbook and when I came back home, I wanted to share them with my buddies. Before uploading them on the Internet, I wanted to edit them and add some stunning effects. Thanks to 'One True Media', I was able to do this without installing heavy software on my netbook.

'One True Media' is a free cloud based application for photo and video editing and allows its users to share them in a stunning presentable format. It is loaded with lots of cool features, which makes it better than many cloud based applications with similar functionalities.

Getting started

To get started with 'One True Media', you just need a valid email address to go through a very smooth and short registration process. To register with 'One True Media', please visit its official website and click the 'Join us' link button to fill out the registration form.

Upload your photos and videos

Once you have successfully registered with 'One True Media', make sure you are logged in and then click the green 'Create' button.

Hit the 'Select Files...' button. 'One True Media' supports large amount of file formats such as i.e.: .mpeg, mpg, .mp4, .mov, .avi, .wmv, .3gp, .3g2, .jpg and .jpeg.

After the selecting the desired files to upload, hit the 'Upload' button.

Click the 'Done' button.

'One True Media' will load all the uploaded files.

Editing

Once you are done with uploading your photos and videos to 'One True Media', get ready to have some fun with editing. The application allows you to edit and set sequence for your uploaded files, apply montage styles, add background music and create text slides. To proceed further, click the 'Edit and Sequence' button.

Enter the sequence number in the order you want them to appear. Click the green 'Update' button to make the changes.

Montage style

To add montage style to your 'One True Media' project, click the 'Apply a Montage Style' button. Select a desired montage style and click the 'Done' button.

Click the 'Apply Style' button.

Add music

To add background music to your project, simply click the 'Choose Music' button. Select desired background music. Click the 'Add' button to add them to your video.

You can also upload a music file right from your computer's hard drive. To upload a file, click the 'Upload Songs' button and follow the steps below.

Create text slide

To add text to your video, click the 'Create Text Slide' button. Enter text for your project, select font, size, text and background color, text position and duration. Use the 'Update' button to make changes.

Add effects and transition

Now it is time to brush up your video with some cool effects and transitions. To do so, use the options given just below the embedded media player.
