CrunchGear has come out with an excellent review of the VIA Nano-powered Lenovo IdeaPad S12 by Doug Aamoth. The Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is one of the largest ‘netbooks’ in the market with its 12-inch screen. The author has given the thumbs up for the power efficient and performance oriented Lenovo IdeaPad S12. The Lenovo IdeaPad S12
PCMAG.COM, GottabeMobile.com and a host of others have been doing some early coverage of the new Lenovo IdeaPad S12 notebook. The S12 comes in a variety of flavors including a VIA Nano processor based version. Priced at US$499.00 I would say the S12 is an aggressive move from Lenovo and quite innovative in terms of its variety of hardware configurations.
Mobiln 2.0 Beta
Of all the Linux distributions in all the world the flavor of the moment (certainly for the last few days anyway) is the beta of Moblin 2.0. Which is specifically designed for ... netbooks... according to the promotion video (embedded after the jump). Watching the video one thing struck me regarding the user interface that I had been thinking about a for awhile: Why can't the apps and the browser be part of the same UI?

How to understand the importance of timeliness
There are quite a few trends converging at the moment that apply to how we process information (news, stories, updates etc) that got me thinking about time. Not how much time, or how to manage your time but more... "timeliness". Information and the sources we get it from are moving to real time and mobile devices mean we can capture real time data at anytime... I think there might be a potential problem here... time to explain.
